WEG unanimously decides to renovate to preserve substance
The first of seven arcades of the apartments built in the mid-1970s was renovated conventionally (demolition, new waterproofing, new screed and tiling). In search of a technically equivalent but less expensive alternative, the condominium owners' association (WEG) and the manager were persuaded to opt for a substance-preserving solution using liquid resins. With this type of implementation, the tiles could be largely retained; only the loose or hollow slabs were removed and the resulting voids filled and leveled with PMMA mortar.
