Tile look - even without tiling
A balcony that offers a dreamlike view of the Baltic Sea is gladly used. But in the private residence in Scharbeutz, the screed under the tiles had become dilapidated - the leaking balcony had to be renovated. The owners wanted to preserve the tile look without using new tiles. The solution was found in the PMMA system structure from WestWood, which offers the right design freedom and makes such a decor possible. To achieve this, the experienced specialist installers removed the previous structure, which was no longer load-bearing, and applied new screed. A flexible, mechanically highly resilient flow mortar was applied to protect the primer and waterproofing layers. On this basis, the tile appearance could be created with two finish coats. A durable, value-preserving and aesthetic solution!
