Water cabs are an integral part of the urban transport network in Copenhagen and offer both locals and tourists an environmentally friendly way of getting around the harbor promenade. Safety on the jetties is a top priority - slip resistance in particular is essential for smooth operation.
The constant impact of the Baltic Sea and the heavy mechanical loads caused by shipping operations made it necessary to repair the jetties. The demanding refurbishment of 12 jetties, each with an area of 12 m², was carried out by the Danish specialist contractor Centrum Entreprise ApS.
The new coating now ensures a durable and highly resilient surface that provides sufficient slip resistance even in wet conditions and can withstand daily wear and tear.
