Wind farm Geldern
Object: Sealing the bases of wind turbines
Scope: Total area approx 225 m²
Substrate: Concrete
Period: March 2025
Systems:
Details: Wecryl roof waterproofing system
Surface: Surface protection system OS 10 - 2.0
The bases of wind turbines are permanently exposed to extreme weather conditions: rain, frost, UV radiation and mechanical loads continuously affect the structure. Without reliable protection, moisture can penetrate, which can lead to concrete spalling, corrosion of the reinforcement and ultimately to structural damage. Professional, seamless waterproofing is therefore essential to ensure the stability, cost-effectiveness and longevity of the systems.
Thanks to the careful execution of Weiss Windpower Service and our team, a durable, safe sealing solution was realized that meets the high requirements of the renewable energy sector. This project therefore not only contributes to preserving the structural value of the building, but also actively supports sustainable energy generation in Germany.
Our products Wecryl 176, Wecryl 176 + QS, Wecryl 810, Wecryl 230 Thix with fleece, Wecryl 279 and the final sealing with Wecryl 420 (color 7035) were used.
This high-performance system combination guarantees durable, crack-bridging and UV-resistant waterproofing - essential for protecting the foundations.
