How balconies withstand North Sea conditions
Only a few meters from the beach and the North Sea lies the house 'Seeluft' on Wangerooge - a residential and commercial building from the 1970s, in which many vacation apartments are located on the upper floors. The balconies are therefore always exposed to the harsh weather conditions of the North Sea. Accordingly, the concrete substrates of the balconies at this property presented themselves as damaged. The owners' association's desire for a durable and at the same time stylish coating played just as important a role in the awarding of the contract as refurbishment during the cold months. The use of a PMMA-based system structure and the rapid execution of the applicator were decisive in ensuring that this wish could be met. This meant that vacation rentals could continue without restriction during the peak season.
