PMMA system structure with integrated open-space heating

Scope: Rehabilitation of the access and exit ramp, total area approx. 400 m²
Subsoil: Mineral subsoil
Period: July 2017 access ramp, October 2017 exit ramp, 5 working days per ramp Used: WestWood® System - Ramp Heating: (WestWood® Weproof structural waterproofing system (fleece-free), open-air heating system, Wecryl 847 adhesive and reinforcing mortar, Wecryl 410 textured surfacing).
Ramp refurbishment during ongoing parking garage operation
Due to the good shopping opportunities offered by the Klingenthal Südringcenter Paderborn, the associated parking garage is always highly frequented. During the necessary rehabilitation of the entrance and exit ramps, access had to be ensured at all times. In addition, the ramps were to be equipped with a heating system that would keep them free of ice and snow and minimize winter hazards for customers. Due to the static conditions and the low construction height, the crack-bridging surface protection system and the heating system from WestWood® were chosen. One construction phase of only five working days was estimated for each ramp. The tight construction window was adhered to thanks to the PMMA products.
