Wecryl 821

Substrate stabiliser, ultra-low-viscosity; PMMA resin for mineral substrates

Wecryl 821 is a fast-curing, dust-binding, ultra-low viscosity resin with very good penetration on mineral substrates. The formulation reliably fills cracks and pores and provides very good consolidation of the substrate. Wecryl 821 is ideal for improving the surface strength of porous substrates or after substrate pretreatment by milling.

Material Description:

2-component, fast-reacting/fast-curing hydrophobic coating based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)

Colors:

Unpigmented

Area Of Application:

Wecryl 821 is used for substrate consolidation on critical substrates. It reliably closes pinholes on substrates with increased porosity, voids and pores. Ideally, Wecryl 821 is used after surface treatment by milling or shot peening. Can also be used on highly compacted concrete and ZE screed. Fills cracks up to 3 mm.

Attributes Description

  • easy and fast processing
  • ultra-low viscosity
  • good residual dust binding
  • hydrolysis and alkali resistant
  • fills pores, cavities and cracks
  • very good wetting and penetration properties
  • surface strengthening: increases concrete strength by 250 %
